Communications Executive (9 – 12 Month FTC)

A FTSE250 media company is looking for a Communications Executive on a 9 – 12 month contract paying £28,000 - £32,000 (pro rata) with a June or July start.

The Communications Executive will report into the Head of Communications and also support the Internal Communications Manager, covering both internal and external communications requirements. This would suit someone with a few years’ communications experience, looking to develop their expertise in an exciting, fast-paced and creative global business

The successful candidate will be writing communications, looking after social media channels and corporate website, helping to organise internal and external events, and supporting the busy communications team with administrative tasks and the delivery of our expansive remit. The hiring manager is looking for an exceptional writer, creative mind and desire to learn and ‘get stuck in’. This would suit someone from a communications or marketing background.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create content for and manage the company website.

  • Write social media content and manage the content calendar for LinkedIn and Twitter accounts.

  • Play a key role in the organisation of internal and external events - from the annual internal company conference to financial results events for investors.

  • Research best practice for internal and external communications, relaying your findings to help the team stay up to date on the latest innovations.

  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Manager on the delivery of the internal communications strategy and analysis of communications data.

  • Manage internal distribution lists, shared mailboxes, imagery banks and purchase orders.

  • Support the communications and creative teams to bring the brand to life for employees.

Skills and experience required:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience creating content for educational, professional or personal purposes.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Great people skills - ability to build relationships quickly.

 This role has a hybrid working model with one to two days a week required in the central London office.
